Week 9
I woke up in the grumpiest of moods due to not getting very much sleep & I was not in the mood for this project at all! But Nixie was in one of the greatest, happiest moods ever, so full of vibrant energy jumping and dancing around the house giggling away that it didn't take long for her mood to rub off on me…
Week 7
This a day in my life project was filled with so many different emotions. I left for a two night trip to Sweden to see my mom & it was the second time being away from Nixie overnight, the first time was 6 months ago when I had to make an emergency trip to Sweden when my mom was in hospital. My mom has Alzheimer's and had moved to an assisted living facility after her hospital stay and this was the first time I had been able to visit her there…
Week 5
We had such a beautiful day! It began with an outing to the sea with some of our favourite people, Elena, Levana & Rad and an afternoon busy with being creative and playing with her animals and puzzles. Nixie actually made her very first pinch bowl all on her own and started experimenting with a new technique while water coulouring…
Week 4
We had a really great adventure for this week's a day in my life! We had a day out in Bournemouth visiting one of my dear friends Sara who's about to have a baby within the next couple of weeks! Although I did find it hard photographing while trying to have a catch up and running after Nixie but we had a really lovely day. And Nixie was so happy to be able to ride the train and a bus all in one day!…
Week 3
This week's day in my life felt so much better than last week! We've had such a great day, from the moment we woke up the cuddles began and it was a day of being creative, getting messy, going on adventures, running errands, eating and playing with her animals. Just another typical day in our lives but a really good one…
Week 2
So this week's day in my life felt so incredibly hard! I had thought we'd at least have an outing of some sort but that didn't happen, the weather was just uninspiring with drizzly rain and to add to the dreariness, the light that I find the most challenging in our house consumed our whole day! There was basically no natural light coming in anywhere, It was grey and dark and I had to rely on artificial light which is not a fave of mine and I had to set the ISO way high! But we made the most of it and spent hours upon hours mostly playing with her animals with some breaks inbetween to go do something else. It wasn't the most exciting day and I found it very difficult to document but that's part of why I like this project, it's making me really push myself and getting me out of my comfort zones…
Week 1
This is the first entry to my personal project I will be working on this year. Photographing one whole day in my life, 1 day a week starting on Monday Jan 1, 2018. The second week will be the following Tuesday & the week after that will be the Wednesday and so on until I reach 52 weeks. I'm giving myself a week to edit them so will be sharing the day a week later…
