Third camping trip of the year: A week of many shifts!
We just got back from our third camping trip of the year (June 9-16) and I know I said that the last one was one of the best weeks of my life well now i’m going to say that this one was! Every new camping experience seems to be better than the last & after over a month of no camping due to having too many photography projects and editing to do, this last trip couldn’t have come soon enough…
A Week of Pure Inspiration
We arrived on the Saturday and besides just a couple of other campers we were the only ones there but by the following Monday we had the space completely to ourselves again, I just couldn't believe how perfect it all was. It's such a different experience when you can just be where you are rather than having to hike somewhere before you are not surrounded by people and there was just something so magical about being there completely on our own, we were able to feel & connect with the landscape differently, we became acquainted with everything that surrounded us such as the trees, the plants, the animals & insects in such a deeper way…
Camping season has begun!
We just had our very first camping trip of the year last week on March 22 when the campsite which had pretty much become our second home last summer opened up for the season. I haven’t had the chance to write about it until now because as soon as we got back I was inspired to create a new wall hanging, a weave using a fallen branch that I had found as my loom and now that it’s finished I can finally reminisce about our short but perfect little break away from it all…
Our New Life in the New Forest
These past couple of months have brought with them so many life changes. We relocated from the busy city of London where our everyday environment consisted of lots of cars, busses, fumes, buildings, pavements, ambulance sirens, noise and people rushing around in too much of a hurry to even say hello, to country life in the New Forest where our everyday consists of horses, cows, donkeys, forests, heathlands, fields, seaside, woodland streams and birdsong…
