Our first just-the-two-of-us adventure of the year
This week marked the return of Kevin having to go back to work after 12 amazing days together. I was a little worried that it was going to be a bit of a hard transition for Nixie because she had been loving having him with us everyday and has become so attached to him. She wouldn't even let him out of her sight for a second! But she really surprised me with her maturity, the first morning she woke up and noticed that Kevin was gone, she just said, “daddy's at work, I miss him, I love him,” and just gave me the biggest cuddle and that was it! The last three days have been so wonderful, there's been no upsets, bad moods or anything…

Reunited with her Tomato
This past Sunday Nixie got reunited with her sweet Tomato. Ever since the last time she got to ride her she hasn't stopped talking about her. Everyday, several times a day, she gets sad and says to me, “I miss tomato,luv her, want to riiiide her, cuddle her” and at other times she'll be reminiscing about tomato and in a happy voice will say, “ride tomato, i running!!” Her love for her new friend is really one of the sweetest things I've seen…
A little seaside explore
It was such a gorgeous day out today and when I saw the clear blue sky I knew we needed to have a little adventure. Nixie loves to run around on our little beach during low tide and I had checked the times for low tide and it just happened to be during the most beautiful part of the day and a time that wasn’t too early or too late…
Messy days are the best days
We had such a great day yesterday! It began with a wonderful walk in the woods with some friends in the morning and then we had another body paint session in the afternoon! But this time I decided to do it in the conservatory rather than the living room, there's much less risk of things getting painted on that I don't want to get painted!
