Day in my life

This is my personal project and one that is very close to my heart: Photographing one whole day in my life, 1 day a week, each week being the following day until I reach 52 weeks. I am now in my second year of the project which first began on Monday Jan 1, 2018. Hope you enjoy following along!

We've had such a beautiful day together, didn't go anywhere or see anyone but just stayed home and played all day. We've been in such a beautiful flow completely in sync with each other, we were in my favourite space, our love bubble. There were lots of cuddles & lots of laughter and everything felt really easy and perfect. Days like today I think are the rewards and hidden gifts and blessings of motherhood, it's those days where your life feels perfect…

Today was an awfully sad day. We ended up having to say goodbye to one of our cats, Majnoon. But it started like any other day, we woke up around 5:45 I was a little worried I was going to have a high reading because for the past week my fasting levels have been rising (still within normal but rising)…

The other day while in the car I had noticed a path that we hadn't explored next to one of the streams along Rhinefield Dr. and I felt so drawn to it that it had to be where we went for today's walk. I love living here and always discovering new places with you, it's pure magic…

We had a quick lunch and then it was time to head out to get our love tree, finally! It had been delayed twice, both on Sat & Sun, we just felt too rough & couldn't muster enough energy to go get it, we are still lacking in energy but it had to happen today as it's tradition we put it up first weekend in Dec and plus daddy has the day off!…

And it is that time again for another entry for Artefact motherhood, a beautiful blog circle which is a collaboration of artists & mothers from around the world sharing stories of the joys and struggles of our journey. These are more than photographs with dates written on the back. These are the artefacts we are leaving behind for children and the generations to come. Please have a look through mine and then check out the next artist in our circle…

I Woke up feeling that I finally had some really good sleep! And you slept like a log all night long, you had fallen asleep around 18:40 and woke up just before 6:00 I think. You were so happy to see daddy still in bed with us and the two of you had the sweetest morning cuddles…

Week 40

I didn't get much sleep last night due to the both of us needing to get up to wee several times. We were both up before daddy's alarm clock, but at least you got to kiss him goodbye and for some reason you made him take our little book of crystals with him to work. I'm still getting used to our hours of darkness in the mornings until the sun comes up…

Week 39

I had such a craving for the sea air today, I really needed to smell it so we headed to our little beach but before we could do that we needed to go to Waitrose to get our ingredients for dinner. As usual it turned into quite the adventure, you were determined to carry the basket yourself and proceeded to grab the things on our list but as we walked past the tomatoes you just couldn't resist and had to grab one to eat…

Week 38

We had a pretty good day. You had the best sleep ever, almost slept for 12 hours. You woke up at 6:00, I was already awake but just resting in bed next to you, and as soon as you opened your eyes you felt for me in the dark and then rushed up and ran downstairs looking for daddy, but when you realised you missed him you became so sad, sobbing that you just wanted to give him a cuddle. You came back to bed and we snuggled some more before getting up…
