Day in my life

This is my personal project and one that is very close to my heart: Photographing one whole day in my life, 1 day a week, each week being the following day until I reach 52 weeks. I am now in my second year of the project which first began on Monday Jan 1, 2018. Hope you enjoy following along!

Week 37

We had such an incredible day, it was one of those days where you felt completely in flow with the universe! I Woke up just after 5 when your daddy woke up to get ready for work, I couldn't really sleep all night but woke up still feeling good although I stayed in bed. You had woken up by his alarm but went in for a cuddle with him and fell back asleep within 30 seconds. You woke up for real around 6 and shortly after we went downstairs…

You and I had a really nice day although not an incredibly exciting one. This morning I actually got up before you, I couldn't believe it, you looked so sweet in your sleep, I never get bored of watching you in dreamland. I went downstairs and one of my favourite things that happens if I get up before you is that when you do wake up (which was at 7:40 today) and come downstairs and turn into our living-room your face lights up with the biggest smile as you see me sitting on the couch and you immediately run to give me the best all consuming morning cuddles…

Today was an incredible day & it was day 4 of our last camping trip of the year. I woke up before the two of you and felt such bliss watching you sleep, I felt so grateful for all the experiences I get to share with you both. The other bed broke just as we were going to bed last night so we all squeezed in and cuddled up on one and surprisingly it was super cosy!…

Week 34

Today wasn't one of our best days (we were all running on empty after some rough nights & today marks almost a week of some very big changes for both you & me; you deciding to no longer nurse) I had the alarm set for 6:30 because I had to be up and ready for my driving lesson at 7:30. You were still asleep when I got up but unfortunately you didn't stay asleep and joined me downstairs about 10 min after. Somehow you can always tell if I'm not in bed and always get up shortly after…

Week 33

It was an incredible day, one of those days that I think I'll remember forever! I Woke up feeling all the love, you woke me up with kisses and cuddles & by whispering sweet morning "I love you's" in my ear and I felt a continuous stream of little baby kicks. It all made me not mind in the slightest of being woken up at 4:30. Auntie Karen arrived yesterday so that she could be with you & daddy could come with me to our second baby scan appointment which was at 8:00 this morning in Southampton…

Week 32

Today felt a bit intense & emotionally draining. It was a mixture of really amazing moments and really bad moments. It started out on a high note: You and I hadn't really seen your daddy for a couple of days other than maybe 5 min in the morning so we were both super happy that he had today and tomorrow off giving us a 4 day weekend together…

we woke up at 1:45 & I was not in not a very good mood. By 2 you turned the light on and wanted to read Tabby McTat, you were wide awake and ready to start the day. Daddy needed to wake up early for work so you and I went downstairs, at first I was a bit grumpy but once we made it down the stairs I was already in a better mood, you were in such a sweet mood that you immediately rubbed off on me! The first thing I did was make a tea & the first thing you did was to start to draw. You're starting to expand your letter & number practising adding z, v, w, 9,8,a, to your 1, 2, 3, & Q's…

And it is that time again for another entry for Artefact motherhood, a beautiful blog circle which is a collaboration of artists & mothers from around the world sharing stories of the joys and struggles of our journey. These are more than photographs with dates written on the back. These are the artefacts we are leaving behind for children and the generations to come... We had plans to go to Bournemouth to visit our friend Sara & see little baby Nuria which you were very excited about so our usual habit of slow mornings was speeded up so we could catch an early train…

Week 29

We had a really good day today, we woke up around 7AM and I actually felt really refreshed and energised! Our morning began with morning cuddles on the couch and us discussing what today's' adventure should be and you requested we go to the forest but before we headed out we had nice morning at home. You wanted to draw and you drew your very first pig! and you are still very much loving practising writing your numbers…

Week 28

We had such a great day today. Your auntie Anita is visiting us from Sweden and you are loving that she is here, the two of you have really bonded and it just warms my heart so much. You and I woke up before everyone else and had our breakfast, you requested peanut butter and jam sandwiches and I thought why not !?! While getting it ready you jumped up on your stool in the kitchen and gave my tummy the biggest cuddle and kiss, saying that you are cuddling baby because you are now a big sister…
